Friends of Boyd Hill partners with local organizations, companies, and community supporters to improve Boyd Hill Nature Preserve for future generations to come.

Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
Funded Park Improvements:

Empty playground with wooden swings and a tire swing, surrounded by trees and grass, in a park.

A new swing set was added to the Preserve’s nature adventure playground, made possible by the Friends of Boyd Hill and community donors.

2022

People using a digital projection table to explore a topographic map with colorful contour lines and highlighted features.

An augmented reality sandbox demonstrating water flow to Lake Maggiore and Tampa Bay was installed with support from FDOT District 7, community partners, and the Friends of Boyd Hill.

2020

A 5K race sign attached to a wooden post along a forested trail.

5K trail markers were installed throughout the Preserve, thanks to the generosity of the Andresen family and the Friends of Boyd Hill.

2019

A garden with a black stone sculpture of a modern abstract design, surrounded by green bushes and plants, with a background of trees and a wooden post.

 The upper butterfly garden, showcasing native plants, was designed in collaboration with local partners and the Friends of Boyd Hill.
