Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve board of directors member Joanna is an associate professor of communication in the College of Engineering at the University of South Florida. She has served as a grant reviewer for the NSF and as co-principal investigator on NSF grants. A Florida native, Joanna began developing a deep appreciation for Florida’s natural history and ecology at a young age. She is a certified Florida Master Naturalist and dedicated native landscaper, raising two sons who are young advocates for Florida’s wild spaces.
